so if the 3rd RV can be counted as a bible study, could a publisher conduct a study via text messaging? Does this also apply to some sort of instant messenger like facebook messenger or AIM?
Holey moley the ministry has become a fucking joke.

i thought all the embarssing books were supposed to be thrown out?
by purrpurr ini had a look in the library last meeting and my hall still has all the bound volumes going right back to the beginning.
including studies in the scriptures.
i thought the order from on high was that these were to be destroyed or taken away?

Every once in a while someone claims that congregations have been ordered to toss old literature from the libraries. For the millionth time, here's the official policy:
-The LIBRARY should have as complete a library as possible, including old shit
-The LITERATURE counter should toss ooold shit or stuff that's not in good condition.

Question for those attending mid week
by All for show indo you all know how many attend vs sundays?
talking to friends and family all find it so boring/difficult to sit through they say their meeting midweek attendance is about 50 percent less than sundays, with at least 15 percent of those leaving at the half.
we have had 3 local needs this year on staying the entire meeting, but people still leave, happily.

in the US attendance is always Sunday-->Midweek meeting-->Book study (when they had them)

he also celebrated hanukkah, which is interesting since the books of maccabees are considered apocryphal.

which book says it?
by sowhatnow inmy mom seems to railroad me into a debate at least once a week.. anyway long story short,.
she says 'there is no where in the literture that the wt writers claimed that a specfic year it was going to be armageddon.. well i thought there was, and id like to print it or show it to her, i have some older books but not many.. so, is there?
i told her that the wt claimed that 1975 was going to be the end, she said no, they said that was the beginning of the tribulation.. wow, she forgot about the most recent article ablout that already!.

The WT did state the preaching work would wrap up by the end of the 20th century. That's supposed so be one of the things that marks the start of the great tribulation and all that other end of the world shit.

What I really fear about JW.ORG
by StarTrekAngel inmuch has been written, twitted and youtubed about the extent to which the wtbts may go in order to keep its members from peeking out of the box.
from name calling, constantly telling members about the dangers of apostasy, all the way to dfing anyone who dares to look outside.
many tools and theories have been brought forward.

hooo boy lots of tin foil hat. Yeah, they're not going to build backdoors into their apps. If they want to publish their apps on the iOS store and Google Play, that ain't happening. They're not going to monitor your browsing habits or have you authenticate with a set of credentials when using KH wifi. That stuff is all setup at the local level. Even if they wanted to centralize that, WT would have to work with dozens of ISPs (and that's just in the US). Not going to happen.
I know a lot of people hate the WTS and have an axe to grind, but goddamn, it's amazing watching people lose their shit and come up with crazy theories about JW.ORG.

If you wanted to run one of the OOOOOLD discs, you'd need to setup a Win95 VM. The benefit of the old ones are unaltered publications.
